A See American Value Excursion (SAVE) featuring Sedona, Grand Canyon, Verde Canyon and Brewers Spring Training!

You will have the opportunity to see lots & lots of cactus; Prickly Pear, Barrel, and Saguaro varieties to name a few. And spring is the time to see these beautiful plants in bloom at the Desert Botanical Garden. We’ll even catch the Brewers at spring training, they are part of the Cactus League.

When it comes to the Grand Canyon, there are statistics, and there are sensations. While the former are impressive—the canyon measures in at an average width of 10 mi, length of 277 mi, and depth of a mile—they don't truly prepare you for that first impression. Seeing the canyon for the first time is an astounding experience—one that's hard to wrap your head around. In fact, it's more than an experience; it's an emotion, one that is only just beginning to be captured with the superlative "Grand." The Grand Canyon of the Colorado River is one of the world’s most outstanding spectacles. In form, glowing color and geological significance, it is unsurpassed. Did we mention it’s one of the 7 Natural Wonders of the World?

Verde Canyon Railroad

Asphalt, concrete and tension drift away as you slip into an unspoiled world where serenity and stimulation miraculously coincide. The Verde Canyon Railroad is a stress-free wilderness adventure. As the gentle iron giants wind their way through one of Arizona’s treasures, your senses come alive. You hear the wheels echo off the canyon walls, feel the gentle wind kiss your cheek, taste Arizona’s special blend of fresh air, or spy a majestic Bald Eagle effortlessly floating on a breeze. The train passes towering crimson pinnacles; near ancient Indian ruins; over fortified trestles; past a monocline fault and through a manmade 680-foot tunnel. The Verde Canyon, featuring an abundance of native flora and fauna, rugged, high-desert rock faces and spectacular vistas, is only accessible by rail. As you step aboard, expect to be captivated by this untouched and unspoiled canyon. Departure is scheduled so you may enjoy the progress of daylight as it dances over the rippling green waters of the Verde River, then tiptoes across the canyon floor through canopies of foliage before escaping up the towering canyon walls into the brilliant azure skies of this celebrated gorge. On the return trip, the Canyon takes on an entirely new dimension with further shifting of illumination and shadows.

Cracker Jacks

Maryvale Baseball Park is the home of the Brewers' Spring Training games. This award-winning Cactus League facility, nestled in the west side of Phoenix, is a state-of-the-art complex. The ballpark features a recessed playing field and shaded concourse which provides an uninterrupted view of the action. The ballpark's 7,000 seats plus the lush outfield berm, assures an intimate baseball experience in a fan-friendly, relaxed setting. Simply stated, there's not a bad seat in the house! Just like at home, the spring training games include the infamous "Sausage Race."

Located in Arizona's high desert under the towering southwestern rim of the vast Colorado Plateau, the city of Sedona is blessed with mild seasons marked by abundant sunshine and clean air. Ideally, the annual average high and low temperatures are 74.7 and 45.7 degrees, respectively. Sedona, strategically situated at the mouth of spectacular Oak Creek Canyon, is a unique place. Characterized by massive red-rock formations, as well as the contrasting riparian areas of Oak Creek Canyon, the area surrounding this beloved community is considered to be as beautiful as many national parks.

Some call Sedona an "open air cathedral". Sedona is nestled between the massive, firehued rocks of Red Rock State Park and the lush gorges of Oak Creek Canyon. The semi-arid topography is the base for giant, striped monoliths that take on shades from bright red to pale sand and seem to change color with each passing cloud or ray of sunshine. Mother Nature has been kind to Sedona, blessing her with sharp light, bright blue skies, colorful terrain, picturesque sunsets and animated clouds.

The city of Sedona, historically, was a rural ranching community located far off the beaten path, but its unsurpassed natural beauty became nationally known through the motion picture industry. Today, commercials and television shows still are filmed in the unsettled areas surrounding this city, which annually attracts visitors from around the world.

On a Pink Jeep Tour we will take in the Red Rock Range for a relaxing scenic tour that will take you out into the West Canyons and you will be driving at the bases of some large Red Rocks such as Thunder Mountain, Doe Mesa, Bear Mountain, Camel’s Caravan, and many more. There are endless photo opportunities, so be sure to bring your camera. In addition to being surrounded by high-desert scenery, you will also be provided with information about the plant/animal life and history of the area.
