Experience America the Beatiful Firsthand on our Colorado Train & Trails 7 Day Vacation!

“Oh Beautiful for Spacious Skies,

for Amber Waves of Grain,

for Purple Mountains Majesty…

Experience America the Beautiful Firsthand!”

Follow along the Mighty Arkansas River, directly under the famous Royal Gorge Bridge, the world’s highest suspension bridge, over 1,000 feet above the train, on an afternoon

scenic excursion on the Royal Gorge Rail.

A journey to the Garden of the Gods Visitor and Nature Center is an unforgettable experience.  A step on guide will join us and you’ll learn the history of the park and the Pike4’s Peak region of Colorado.  Our trail continues as we enjoy the Pikes Peak Experience on special mini-coaches.  This 4 hour guided round trip tour takes you to the summit of Pikes Peak and  back.  We will travel up historic Ute Pass through the Village of Cascade to the Pikes Peak Highway.  We will pass through “Devil’s Playground,” the “Bottomless Pit” and make many other unforgettable turns as we make our way to the summit of the spectacular 14,115-foot peak.  It was from this magnificent mountain that Katherine Lee Bates wrote “America the Beautiful.”  Our trails will also take us to M Lazy C Ranch where their wranglers are waiting!  Enjoy a hayride, campfire and that famous star-studded Colorado sky.  An evening of grilled cooking, entertainment featuring western classics and new songs, and learn the 2-step and a bit of line dancing awaits!

Colorado Springs, Colorado

A day of sightseeing in Colorado Springs will have us tour the U.S. Olympic Training Center Complex to see where Olympic dreams come true.  Experience the home of the U.S. Olympic Champions.  A stop at the United States Air Force Academy is also on the list.  Visit the Visitors Center, see the Field House, Arnold Hall, Honor Court and with a slight walk (1/3 mile) on some uneven terrain you can visit the Cadet Chapel.

Denver, Colorado

We’ll start off at Lookout Mountain Park where we’ll visit “Buffalo Bill” Cody’s grave with a view!  His gravesite overlooks the natural beauty of the Great Plains and the Rockies.  Then we will take time to visit the Buffalo Bill Museum which illustrates the life, times and legend of William F.Cody. It includes exhibits about Buffalo Bill’s life and the Wild West shows, Indian artifacts and firearms.  See Sitting Bull’s bow and arrows, Buffalo Bill’s show outfits, Frederick Remington’s “Portrait of a Ranch Hand,” and many other objects from the Old West in the Buffalo Bill Museum. We’ll journey to Red Rocks Park and visit the Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre Visitors Center.  The Visitor Center includes interactive educational displays featuring the geologic and music history of Red Rocks, an amazing Performers Hall of Fame display, free screening of Oscar-winner Donna Dewey’s documentary and “best of” Red Rocks concert footage.  You’ll also learn about the geology, wildlife and history of the surrounding park.  A local guide will join us for a narrated sightseeing tour of Denver including a photo stop at the Colorado State Capitol building where you will get a view of the mountains and the “mile high” marker on the west steps of this building and a short stop at the Convention Center to see the Denver icon - the Big Blue Bear.
