Beneath its massive timbers, You’re sure to collect some unique and interesting finds at more than 23 inviting shops.  You’ll find home accents, apparel, and Amish-inspired foods and more.  The charming setting also features a 104-year-old Dentzel Carousel with hand-carved farm animals. At the “Shipshewana Across the Road” Indoor Market, you will find 50-60 vendors who carry unique gifts, local crafts and a variety of other goods.  You will also be able to browse through the Essenhaus Village Shops and delight in the bounty of beautifully decorated Christmas Trees.  Here you will also find holiday decorations, candles, ornaments, linens, that perfect serving dish or Christmas sweater.

Stocking Stuffer Day

As you board your coach, grab your stocking and get ready to fill it throughout the day with treats and trinkets from one-of-a-kind Amish businesses as a local guide takes us through the backroads to Amish businesses that are off-the-beaten path.  Some stops will include Rise & Roll Amish Bakery, Country Camel Farm, Lambright Chimes, create a Wooden Quilt Block, Amish Toy Maker, and enjoy lunch with a holiday cookie baking demonstration on an Amish family farm

Holiday Sounds & Sights

Dinner on our first night is a tradition!  It is Indiana’s largest restaurant and the we have a family-style meal which is all you can eat.  Chicken, mashed potatoes, brown gravy, bread dressing, noodles, apple butter, Amish peanut butter, salad, green beans, beverage and pie.  Enjoy the beautiful Christmas music of local harpist, Anna Hagen, as she weaves together a variety of musical genres.  We’ll board an open air trolley to drive through the Shipshewana Lights of Joy display which features over 1 million lights and specialty displays.  Enjoy the Amish Acres famous family style Threshers Dinner all served to the table in the century old barn restaurant. Then enjoy Elf the Musical, based on the motion picture of the same name.  “The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear.” Buddy the Elf has spent his entire life at the North Pole. When he discovers that he is not really an elf, he sets off for New York City to find his true identity. Faced with the harsh reality that his real father is on the naughty list and his half-brother does not even believe in Santa, Buddy is determined to win over his new family and help New York remember the magic of Christmas.
