Michigan fall colors begin with a slow dance of turning leaves into a trillion trees aflame. Mother Nature is putting on a show and we’re heading to Michigan, ablaze in it’s color glory, to experience it all. Enjoy a beautiful ferry ride to Mackinac Island where there are no motor vehicles allowed. Mackinac Island is a picturesque place filled with quaint shops, horse rides, forts, and so much more. You’ll have plenty of free time to shop the quaint stores, visit the Grand Hotel or take a horse-drawn carriage ride tour of the Island. There is no passport required for this tour unless you would like to ride aboard the Algoma Central Railway for a ride through the scenic Agawa Canyon on the Canadian side. You will need a valid passport to cross the border on this optional trip! This wilderness excursion on the train takes you north 114 miles over towering trestles, alongside pristine northern lakes and rivers and through the awesome granite rock formations and mixed formations of the Canadian Shield.

Day 1

5:30am Depart Southtowne in Madison
A pickup in Johnson Creek, Oconomowoc Delafield or Waukesha may be added
7:00am Depart College Ave (NE) Park & Ride
7:30am Depart Badger Office (6759 W Greenfield Ave.)
Enjoy the scenery as we make our way through the scenic Upper Peninsula of Michigan to Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan.
We will make break stops every 2 to 3 hours in addition to a 1-hour lunch break. Lunch will be at your own expense. Your escort will let you know when you should change to Eastern Time Zone (ahead 1 hour)
5:30pm Approximate arrival at the Kewadin Hotel & Casino in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. The Kewadin Hotel & Casino offers a one-of-a kind experience, combining exciting Vegas action with an authentic regional flair. Relax & escape in the pool or enclosed whirlpool & Sauna, after a day of gaming excitement or site seeing. The casino is 85,123 square feet, complete with a 200 seat bingo hall.

Day 2

8:45am All passengers should be on the coach and ready to depart
10:00am Approximate arrival in St. Ignace at the Ferry dock
10:30am Ferry departs to cross to Mackinac Island. Upon arrival on the Island, passengers will have free time. If you would like a tour of the Island, you can take a narrated carriage ride (since no vehicles are allowed on the Island) at your own expense. There are also plenty of shops and restaurants to enjoy.
2:30pm All passengers should meet the escort at the Ferry dock. The ferry departs exactly at 3pm and all passengers must be on the 3pm ferry.
3:00pm Ferry departs Mackinac Island and returns to Mackinaw City. Upon arriving on the mainland you will board the bus and we’ll take a scenic drive over the fantastic Mackinac Bridge over the Straits of Mackinac.
5:00pm Approximate return to the Kewadin Sault Ste Marie.

Day 3

Optional Agawa Canyon Excursion—$109 per person Valid Passport Required!
There is a minimum of 25 passengers required for this group rate. If you would like this optional tour, you
must let us know prior to final payment and the payment is due at the time of making your final payment.
There will be no refund for this optional tour once payment is made.
6:30am Bus departs to Cross the Border. Valid passport required.
7:00am Approximate arrival at the Agawa Canyon Train Depot.
8:00am Train departs—All aboard for one of the most popular train excursions in North America, ablaze with color during the fall! This is an all day excursion and you will have two hours to experience the rugged beauty up close. Everyone can enjoy scenic hikes, four sets of waterfalls, trout feeding, or a peaceful lunch in the groomed picnic areas. Rangers are on hand to point out local wildlife and answer questions.
5:00pm Approximate return of the train to the station. You will need to have your valid passport ready as we will be crossing the border to return to Lakefront Inn.
6:00pm Approximate return to Kewadin Sault Ste. Marie. Enjoy the evening as you wish.
NOTE: For anyone who did not wish to take the optional trip, you can spend free time at the casino or enjoy free time in Sault Ste. Marie.

Day 4

8:45am All passengers should be checked out of rooms and have luggage ready for the driver to load onto the coach. Passengers should begin boarding the coach.
10:00am Bus departs for Island Casino
1:30pm Approximate arrival at the Island Resort. $0-$80 in promo cash, package is based on points you earned on your last day trip.
5:30pm Passengers should be on coach and ready to depart.
Change to Central Time Zone -Back 1 Hour
A short break stop will be made
8:45pm Approximate return to College Ave Park & Ride
9:15pm Approximate return to Badger Office
10:30pm Approximate return to Madison

HOW TO MAKE A RESERVATION: We require a $100 per person deposit. Final payments are due 35 days prior to departure. All reservations required your full legal name, residential address, date of birth and player card number (if applicable).

 

PENALTIES: 36 days or more prior to departure date, the deposit is fully refundable. 35-16 days prior to departure, a $50 administrative fee will be charged for processing any cancellations in addition to any prepaid tour expenses that are nonrefundable to us. At 14 days prior to departure, the tour is nonrefundable, unless a replacement can be found. If you wish to take the optional tour aboard the Algoma Central Railway through Agawa Canyon, you must make your reservations before the final payment date and your payment must be made at the same time of the final payment. There will be no refunds for this optional tour and the protection plan does not cover the costs of this optional tour.. In order to operate the Agawa Canyon optional tour, there must be a minimum of 25 passengers and all passengers are required to have a Valid Passport with them. We highly recommend the purchase of the optional tour cancellation protection plan which must be purchased at the time of making your deposit.

BTT/HR, Badger Coaches, and the shopping center are not responsible for loss or damage to vehicles or vehicle contents. We recommend that you lock your vehicle and remove all valuables.
