We’ll savor the history and tradition of Annapolis and the Chesapeake Bay on this tour.  A local Colonial attired guide will join us for a sightseeing tour as we ride through the streets of the Annapolis historic district and surrounding area.  We’ll tour Maryland’s Historic State House, the country’s oldest state Capitol in continuous legislative use.  We’ll drive past prominent Annapolis Historic Homes, St Johns’ College, the WWII Memorial which overlooks the Scenic Severn River and much more.  We’ll enjoy a refreshing Annapolis & Chesapeake Bay cruise. This cruise will take us through the Annapolis harbor and the banks of the U.S. Naval Academy.  You’ll even catch a glimpse of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge.  The National Cryptologic Museum is the National Security Agency’s principal gateway to the public.  It shares the nation’s, as well as NASA’s, cryptologic legacy and place in world history.  The Museum houses a collection of thousand of artifacts that collectively serve to sustain the history of the cryptologic profession.  You can catch a glimpse of some of the most dramatic moments in the history of American cryptology: the people who devoted their lives to cryptology and national defense, the machines and devices they developed, the techniques they used, and the places where they worked. For the visitor, some events in American and world history will take on a new meaning.

Baltimore, MD

Oh say can you see, by the dawn's early light, a large red, white and blue banner? Whose broad stripes and bright stars . . . were so gallantly streaming! over the star-shaped Fort McHenry during the Battle of Baltimore, September 13-14, 1814. The valiant defense of the fort inspired Francis Scott Key to write "The Star-Spangled Banner."  After a 24-hour bombardment, the garrison of Fort McHenry raised the “Star-Spangled Banner” flag over the ramparts at 9:00am onSeptember 14, 1814.  We will arrive in time for the 9:00am change of flag ceremony at Fort McHenry and then you will have time to explore and visit the Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine Visitor and Education Center.  This will be a special morning as we explore the birthplace of the American National Anthem!  Then we are going to travel through time at the B&O Railroad Museum.  This guided tour focuses on the evolution of passenger service from its bumpy infancy to the golden age of passenger service through legendary B&O Trains.  This is the Birthplace of American Railroading!  Then we are headed to the beautiful Baltimore Inner Harbor area where you will have time to explore the National Aquarium, the jewel of Baltimore City’s Inner Harbor.  The Aquarium is ranked as one of the nation’s top three aquariums.  You will have time to explore the more than 660 animal specials, explore the exhibits, get a glimpse into the daily life of a dolphin at Dolphin Discover and much more.  A special treat is an all-you-can-eat crab buffet at Phillips Seafood, known as Maryland’s Crab Ambassadors.  Don’t like crab?  Don’t worry there will also be chicken and ribs plus lots of sides and dessert included.  See Oriole Park at Camden Yards from a whole new perspective on our tour.  Enjoy the charm of the ballpark from club level suites, the press level, and even the Orioles dugout.  Oriole Park revolutionized baseball when it debuted on Opening Day 1992. Now, here's your chance to go behind the scenes of this historic ballpark and learn more about how it has continued to change the baseball fan experience ever since.  Baltimore is a place for risk-takers and history-makers.  See how Sagamore Spirit honors that spirit!  You’ll learn about the famed history or Rye Whiskey inMaryland, see the 40-foot mirrored-finished copper column still, and taste three of their award-winning whiskies.  Next, we’ll head to the Guinness Open Gate Brewery and Barrel House, the first Guinness presence on U.S. soil since 1954, and the first ever purpose-built Guinness Brewery in American history.  This brewery will brew Guinness Blonde American Lager and exciting new beers at a small scale for on-site sales.  We’ll take a tour and enjoy a sample in the taproom.
