Join us as we explore St Louis, Missouri, the "Gateway to the MIdwest" on this excellent 3 day getaway!

St Louis is the “Gateway to the Midwest” and offers a wide variety of unique attractions and one-of-a-kind dining options.  There is something for everyone, from the monumental to the funky, which makes St. Louis an amazing destination.

Start off by taking a tour of one of America’s most magnificent theatres, the Fabulous Fox.  The Fox Theatre opened in 1929 as one of the crown jewels in William Fox’s motion picture empire.  C. Howard Crane, one of the most distinguished movie palace architects of the era, designed the Fox at a cost of six million dollars.  The Fox was justifiably billed as "St. Louis' largest and most magnificent temple of amusement." Fox's wife, Eve Leo, filled the theatre with paintings, sculptures and furnishings gathered from her travels around the world for the astronomical sum of $700,000.  A giant four-manual Wurlitzer organ , one of only five of its type ever built, filled the hall with music from its 36 ranks and 2,700 pipes. At a carefully selected moment, the Fox's mighty Wurlitzer would rise from the depths of the theatre in a spectacular blaze of light.

You’ll really enjoy the tram tour of the Missouri Botanical Gardens, one of the top three Botanical Gardens in the world!  Rest your feet, relax and enjoy the sights!  Narrated tram tours provide an excellent opportunity to see and learn about many of the beautiful display gardens, sculptures and buildings on the grounds, without a lot of walking.  Within the walls of these 79-acres, magnificent gardens and rare collections of botanical, horticultural, and historical materials reside with architecturally significant buildings and inspirational fountains and statuary.  This is the oldest botanical garden in the United States.  Welcome to the Anheuser-Busch Brewery.  The tour will guide you through a blend of rich brewing heritage, state-of-the-art technology and extraordinary architecture.  Visit the historic Budweiser Clydesdale Stable, Beechwood Lager Cellars, historic Brew House and Bevo Packaging Facility before enjoying samples in the hospitality room.  You’ll have time to explore the Gateway Arch including taking a ride to the top of the Arch and see up to 30 miles in any direction on a clear day.  See elements of both historic and modern St. Louis, including the Mighty Mississippi River, Busch Stadium, the Old Courthouse and much more.  Also including is seeing the Monument to the Dream movie.  This award-winning film documents the construction of the magnificent Gateway Arch.  We’ll also enjoy the best view of the St. Louis city skyline while riding aboard a 19th-Century steamboat replica for a skyline dinner cruise.

Be a Saint in St. Louis with a tour of the Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis. Romanesque architecture is what you will first see when you arrive at the seat of the Catholic archdiocese, but it is the interior – with its Byzantine styling and a mosaic collection that is said to be the world’s largest.  More than 41,000,000 pieces of glass tesserae illustrate numerous religious stories.  The life story of French King St. Louis IX, the city’s namesake, is told in mosaic on the walls of the portico.
